City of Stockton Transit Oriented Development (TOD)

The Envision Stockton 2040 General Plan designates certain downtown areas proximate to transit hubs for High Density Mixed Use development. To implement this vision, the City of Stockton is implementing infrastructure improvements to improve pedestrian and bike connectivity to the Amtrak commuter rail station and the Downtown Transit Center. In addition, the City of Stockton is working with Visionary Homebuilders on a transit-oriented development called La Passeggiata, which will consist of two buildings, five and six stories, with 94 affordable apartments for families and seniors, located within two blocks of the Downtown Transit Center bus hub. Housing Tools directed and coordinated the completion of a $4.7 million State TOD application to fund critical pedestrian and bikeway infrastructure improvements, and site improvements, that are components of this project.
